Course Description
The course explores the principles of Universal Design in detail; and how they are applied in products and environments; it also examines interrelated concepts, standards, materials and systems of Universal design through research analysis and apply that knowledge to inform the integrated decision-making process as it relates to the built environment and human well-being.
Objective
The aim is to help students promote the application of universal design principles to create a more accessible and usable world.
Outcome
Students demonstrate skills and share guidance and resources on applications of universal design, in all aspects of design projects and products; with a goal to improve environments and products through design innovation, research, education and design assistance.
